How do you persuade a workforce of thousands of people to leave legacy systems behind and adopt transformational new data management platform?
Challenge
• Data Silo's: The client's existing systems were disconnected, manual and resulting in only 15% of data being utilized.
• Manual Processes: Cross-Collaboration between different regions and departments was difficult and inefficient, resulting in waste of time and money.
• Sceptical Stakeholders: Change is hard to introduce, with a workforce of thousands who are comfortable with the existing systems, it's difficult to gather momentum behind a transformational change.
Our Approach
As always, we focus on the end-user. How does this new system transform their daily lives, what pains does it solve and what opportunities does it provide? Once identified, we steered clear of features, specs or statistics and instead built a compelling narrative and a visual world that would appeal to them, introducing the idea that this data ecosystem would empower employees.
The Process
We love the creative process. Working with clients to simplify complex ideas, bring value to life and build worlds that engage, educate and inspire action within their audience. This project involved an 8-week process of carefully crafting the narrative, distilling the value in complex tech and then creating a visual world based around the mockups of UI that the client provided to us.
Visual Direction
There's no point creating a compelling story if it isn't complimented by engaging visuals that bring the narrative to life. To achieve this, we referenced the sci-fi genre and utilized familiar visuals of old-school, redundant technology to symbolize the legacy system that our client is currently relying on. Building on this foundation, we visualized how the new system is an evolution into the modern day world of medical cutting-edge research and development.
